कागा काको धन हरै, कोयल काको देत
मीठा शब्द सुनाये के , जग अपनो कर लेत।
कौआ किसी का धन हरण नहीं करता और कोयल किसी को कुछ नहीं देता है।
वह केवल अपने मीठी बोली से पूरी दुनिया को अपना बना लेता है।
kaga kako dhan harai,koel kako det
Meetha sabd sunai ke,jag aapno kari let.
The crow does not take anyone’s wealth,the cuckoo does not give to anyone
It turn the world to itself only by speaking in a sweet voice.
कर्म फंद जग फांदिया, जप तप पूजा ध्यान
जाहि शब्द ते मुक्ति होये, सो ना परा पहिचान।
पूरी दुनिया जप तप पूजा ध्यान और अन्य कर्मों के जाल में फंसी है परंतु
जिस शब्द से मुक्ति संभव है उसे अब तक नहीं जान पाये हैं।
Karm fand jag fandiya,jap tap puja dhyan
Jahi sabd te mukti hoye,so na para pahichan.
The world is trapped in muttering,penance,meditation,worship and other works
The word which provides salvation has not been known till now.
ऐक शब्द सों प्यार है, ऐक शब्द कू प्यार
ऐक शब्द सब दुशमना, ऐक शब्द सब यार।
एक शब्द से सबसे प्रेम उत्पन्न होता है एक शब्द सबको प्यारा लगता है।
एक शब्द सबको दुशमन बना देता है और एक शब्द ही सबको मित्र बना देता है। वाणी का सामथ्र्य बहुत है।
Ek sabd soin pyar hai,ek sabd koo pyar
Ek sabd sab dushmana,ek sabd sab yar.
One word makes one loved by all, one word makes one love
One word turns all to enemy and one word turn one into a friend.
ऐक शब्द सुख खानि है, ऐक शब्द दुख रासि
ऐक शब्द बंधन कटै, ऐक शब्द गल फांसि।
एक शब्द सुख की खान है और एक ही शब्द दुखों का कारण बन जाता है। एक ही शब्द
जीवन के समस्त बंधनों से मुक्त कर देता है और वही एक शब्द गले की फाॅंस बन जाता है।
Ek sabd sukh khani hai,ek sabd dukh rashi
Ek sabd bandhan katai,ek sabd gal fasi.
One word is a mine of happiness, another word is a sum of grief
One word cuts bondage and another word becomes trap for neck.
काल फिरै सिर उपरै, जीवहि नजरि ना जाये
कहै कबीर गुरु शब्द गहि, जम से जीव बचाये।
सिर के उपर मृत्यु नाच रहा है किंतु मनुष्य इसे देख नहीं पा राहा है।
यहि गुरु के उपदेशों को अच्छी तरह अपनावें तो जीव काल से बच सकता है।
Kaal firay sir uprai,jibahi najari na jaye
Kahai Kabir guru sabd gahi,jam se jiv bachaye.
Death is roaming over the head, but the living is not able to see
Kabir says catch the sermons of Guru, that can save the living from death.
कुटिल वचन सब ते बुरा, जारि करै सब छार
साधु वचन जल रुप है, बरसै अमृत धार।
दुष्टता पूर्ण वचनों से बुरा कुछ नहीं होता-यह सबों को जला कर राख कर देता है।
किन्तु संतो के वचन जल के समान अमृत की धार वरसाते हैं।
Kutil bachan sab te bura,jari karai sab chhar
Sadhu bachan jal roop hai,barsai amrit dhar.
The crooked words are worse of all,they burns all to ashes
The words of saints are like water, they make the nectar rains.
कुटिल वचन नहि बोलिये, शीतल बैन ले चिन्हि
गंगा जल शीतल भया, पर्वत फोरा तिन्हि।
शत्रुता पूर्ण वचन कभी न बोले केेवल शीतल शुद्ध वचन समझ कर बोंले।
गंगा जल शीतल एंव पवित्र है अतः पहाड़ फोड़ कर आता है। अच्छे वचन से सभी कठिन काम सिद्ध होते है।
Kutil bachan nahi boliye,sital bain le chinhi
Ganga jal sital bhaya,parbat fora tinhi.
Never speak perverse words, utter cool words
The water of Ganga being cold breaks the mountain and flows out.
खोद खाये धरती सहै, काट कूट वनराये
कुटिल वचन साधु सहै, और से सहा ना जाये।
धरती खोदना-जोतना-कोड़ना सहती है। जंगल काट कूट सहती है। साधु कुटिल-दुष्ट वचन सहते है।
अन्य लोगों से इस प्रकार की बाते नहीं सही जाती है।
Khod khaye dharti sahai,kat kut banrai
Kutil bachan sadhu sahai,aaur se saha na jaye.
The earth bears the digging,the forest bears cutting
The saint bears crooked words,none others can bear it.
जंतर मंतर सब झूठ है, मति भरमो जग कोये
सार शब्द जाने बिना, कागा हंस ना होये।
तंत्र, मंत्र, यंत्र सब झूठी बातें हैं। इन सब चीजों से संसार को भ्रमित मत करो।
जीवन के मूल तत्व और मंत्र को जाने बिना कौआ कभी हॅंस नहीं बन सकता है।
Jantar mantar sab jhuth hai,mati bharmo jag koye
Saar sabd jane bina,kaga hans na hoye.
Amulets and hymns are all lie,don’t confuse the world
Without knowing the right words,the crow can not become a swan.
जिभ्या जिन बस मे करि, तिन बस कियो जहान
नहि तो अवगुन उपजै, कहि सब संत सुजान।
जिसने अपने जिहवा को नियंत्रित कर लिया है वह वस्तुतः संसार को जीत लिया है।
अन्यथा अनेक अवगुण और पाप पैदा होते हैं- ऐसा ज्ञानी संतों का विचार है।
Jivya jin bas me kari,tin bas kiyo jahaan
Nahi to awagun upjay,kahi sab sant sujan.
One who has controlled his tongue,he has controlled the world
Otherwise the vice grows,so say all the wise saints.
जिहवा मे अमृत बसै, जो कोई जाने बोल
बिष बासुकि का उतरै, जिहवा तानै हिलोल।
जीभ में अमृत का बास है यदि लोग सही बोलना जानें।
यह बासुकी नाग के जहर को भी अपने मीठी बोली के प्रभाव से खींच लेता है।
Jihwa me amrit basai,jo koi jane bol
Bish basuki ka utrai,jihwa tanai hilol.
There is nectar in the tongue if one knows how to speak,
There is deadly poison of snake in the tongue, if one does not know how to speak.
बोले बोल बिचारि के, बैठे ठौर सम्हारि
कहे कबीर ता दास को, कबहु ना आबै हारि।
खूब सोच समझ विचार कर बोलो और सही ढंग से उचित स्थान पर ही बैठो।
कबीर कहते है कि ऐसा व्यक्ति हार कर नहीं लौटता है।
Bolai bol vichari ke,baithe thaur sambhari
Kahai Kabir ta das ko,kabahu na aabai hari.
Speak only after careful thinking, sit only at the right place
Kabir says such a man will never witness defeat.
जिहवा शक्कर दूध जीव, जिहवा प्यारी जागि
जिहवा प्यारी रहि मिलै, जिहवा लावै आगि।
जीह में चीनी ओर दूध का बास होता है। अतः जीभ को सर्तकता पूर्वक रहना चाहिये।
यही जीव हमें प्रियतम-प्यारी से मिलाता है और यही जीव आग भी लगा देती है।
Jihwa shakkar dudh jiv,jihwa pyari jagi
Jihwa pyari rahi mile,jihwa labai aagi.
The tongue is sugar and milk, be cautious with the tongue
The tongue makes you meet a beloved and the tongue also causes fire.
मता हमारा मंत्र है, हम सा है सो लेह
शब्द हमारा कल्पतरु, जो चाहे सो देह।
मेरे विचार माॅं के समान लाभ दायी हैं। यदि तुम मेरे समान ही हित चाहते हो तो इसे वह प्राप्त करो।
मेरे विचार कल्प वृक्ष के समान हैं। तुम जो भी इच्छा करोगे-तुम्हें इससे वह प्राप्त होगा।
Mata hamara mantra hai,ham sa hai so leh
Sabd hamara kalptaru,jo chahe so deh.
My counsel is like mother,one who is like me can take it
My words are like sacred tree whatever you wish it gives.
जिहि शब्दे दुख ना लगे, सोई शब्द उचार
तप्त मिटी शीतल भया, सोई शब्द तत सार।
जिन शब्दो से कोई दुखी ना हो-उसे ही बोलिये। जो शब्द तप्तहृदय की दग्घता
मिटा दे और हृदय में शीतलता उत्पन्न करे उसे ही बोलना चाहिये।
Jihi sabde dukh na lage,soi sabd uchar
Tapt miti sital bhaya,soi sabd tatsar.
Speak only those words which do not hurt,
Speech is powerful enought that it can comfort the heart and cool down the fire.
आदि नाम पारस अहै, मन है मैला लोह
परसत ही कंचन भया, छूटा बंधन मोह।
प्रभु पारस पथ्थर की भाॅंति है और मन गंदे लोहे की तरह है। इसके स्पर्श मात्र से ही
यह सोना हो जाता है और संसार के सभी मोहमाया के बंधन से मुक्ति हो जाती है।
Aadi nam paras aahai, man hai maila loh
Parsat hi kanchan bhaya,chhoota bandhan moh.
God’s name is the philosopher’s stone and your mind is the dirty iron
The mere touch converts it into gold, exempting it from all bindings and delusions.
मुख आबै सो कहै, बोले नहीं बिचार
हाते परै आत्मा, जीव बंाधि तरवार।
बिना उचित विचार किये जो भी मुॅंह में आता है बोल देते हैं मानों जिहवा में तलवार
बाॅंधकर रखते हैं-फलतः दूसरों के हृदय और आत्मा को दुखी करते हैं।
Mukh aabai so kahe,bole nahi vichar
Hate parai aatma,jiv bandhi tarwar.
We utter whatever comes to mouth, without thinking twice
Our speech hurts others soul as if a sword is bound to the tongue.
मैं कलि का कोतवाल हूॅ, लेहू शब्द हमार
जो यह शब्दहि मानि है, सो उतरै भौपार।
मैं इस कलियुग का रक्षक पहरेदार हूॅं। हमारे शब्दों पर ध्यान दों
जो मेरे उपदेश को मानेगें वे निश्चित ही इस भव रुपी संसार सागर के पार उतर जायेंगे।
Mai kali ka kotwal hun,lehu sabd hamar
Jo yeh sabdahi mani hai,so utrai bhaupar.
I am the superintendent of police of this age,take words of mine
Whoever follows my words will cross over this worldly sea.
रैन तिमिर नासत भयो, जब ही भानु उगये
सार शब्द के जानते, करम भरम मिटि जाये।
सूर्य के उदय के कारण दिन का अंधकार अंत हो जाता है।
इसी प्रकार मेरे शब्दों-उपदेशों का मूल तत्व जान लेने पर सभी सांसारिक कर्मों का भ्रम समाप्त हो जाता है।
Rain timir nasat bhayo,jab hi bhanu ugay
Sar sabd ke jante,karam bharam miti jaye.
The darkness of the day ends when the sun rise
When you know the gist of the words,the doubts of the doings end.
शब्द जु ऐसा बोलिये, तन का आपा खोये
औरन को शीतल करै, आपन को सुख होये।
इस प्रकार से शब्द-वचन बोलें जिस में अपने अहंकार को नाश कर दिया हो।
जो दूसरों के मन को शीतल-हर्षित कर दे और बोलने बाले को सुखी करे।
Sabd joo aisa boliye, tan ka aapa khoye
Aauran ko sital karai,aapan ko sukh hoye.
Utter only such words which are deprived of all your bodily prides,
Such words will calm others and you will also get happiness.
संत संतोषी सर्वदा, सबहि भेद बिचार
सतगुरु के परताप ते सहज शील मत सार।
शब्द और वाणी के रहस्य के विचारो परांत संत सर्वदा संतोषी रहते हैं और ईश्वर की कृपा से वे
सदा सहज रुप से शील और सार तत्व को ही प्राप्त करते हैं।
Sant santoshi sarbada, sabahi bhed vichar
Satguru ke partap te,sahaj seel mat sar.
A saint is always satisfied by thinking the mystery of words
By the grace of God, they bear the inherent gist of virtue and views.
सकल ब्रहमांड है शब्द मे, शब्दहि ब्रहम् महान
शब्द परे कछु है नहीं, जानत मुनि बिज्ञान।
यह अखिल विश्व शब्द में ही निहित है। शब्द ही वस्तुतः महान ईश्वर है।
इस शब्द के बाहर कुछ भी नही है ऐसी जानकारी मुनि,विद्वान अपने ज्ञान एंव विज्ञान से कहते है।
Sakal brahmand hai sabd me,sabdahi Brahma mahan
Sabd pare kachhu hai nahi,janat muni vigyan.
The whole universe is in the words,the word itself is the great God
There is nothing beyond words, so say the monks with science and knowledge.
सतयुग त्रेता द्वापरा, येह कलियुग अनुमान
सार शब्द ऐक सच है, और झूठ सब ज्ञान।
सतयुग,त्रेता द्वापर और इस कलियुग का एकमात्र अनुमान है कि प्रभु का ज्ञान ही एकमात्र
सत्य है।अन्य सभी ज्ञान झूठ हैं।
Satyug treta dwapara,yeh kalyug anuman
Saar sabd ek such hai,aur jhuth sab gyan.
This is the guess in kaliyug, satyug treta and dwapar
The meaning of all words is the one God, all other knowledge is false.
शब्द उपदेश जू मैं कहूॅ ,जो कोई माने संत
कहे कबीर बिचारि के, ताहि मिलाबो कंत।
कबीर का सुविचार मत है कि जो शब्द और उपदेश वे कहते है यदि कोई संत उसे
हृदय से स्वीकार करे तो कबीर ईश्वर से अवश्य मिला देगें।
Sabd updesh ju main kahun,jo koye mane sant
Kahai Kabir vichari kai,tahi milabon kant.
If the saint agrees with my words and preaching,
says Kabir, I will get them to meet the God.
शब्द बड़ा बलवान है, शब्द समान ना कोये
सब शब्दहि से होत है, शब्दहि मे सब होये।
शब्द बहुत शक्तिशाली होता है। इसके समान कुछ भी नहीं होता ।
संसार में सब कुछ शब्द ईश्वर से ही होता है और दुनिया के सारे शब्द ईश्वर में ही स्थित हैं।
Sabd bara balban hai,sabd saman na koye
Sab sabdahi se hote hai,sabdahi me sab hoye.
The words are very strong,there is nothing like words
Every thing happens with words and everything is in the words.
शब्द बराबर धन नहीं, जो कोई जाने बोल
हीरा तो दामो मिले, शब्द ही मोल ना तोल।
शब्द के समान कोई धन नहीं होता यदि कोई बोलना जानता हो।
हीरा को मूल्य लगा कर खरीदा जा सकता है किंतु शब्द का मोल भाव संभव नहीं होता है।
Sabd barabar dhan nahi,jo koye jane bol
Hira to damo milay,sabd hi mole na tole.
No wealth is equal to words,if one knows how to speak
Diamond can be purchased with money but speech cannot be bargained or weighed.
शब्द शब्द सब कोई कहै, शब्द का करो बिचार
ऐक शब्द शीतल करै, ऐक शब्द दे जार।
शब्द-शब्द सब कोई बोलते हैं पर शब्द पर विचार करना चाहिये।
एक शब्द मन को शीतल करता है और एक शब्द हृदय में जलन उत्पन्न करता है।
Sabd sabd sab koi kahe,sabd ka karo vichar
Ek sabd sital karai,ek sabd de jar.
Everyone speaks words, you think over the word
A word can calm our minds while other can burn.
शब्द सम्हारै बोलिये, शब्द के हाथ ना पांव
ऐक शब्द औषध करै , ऐक शब्द करै घाव।
हमें संभल कर बोलना चाहिये-शब्द को हाथ पैर नहीं होता हैं।
कोई शब्द दवा की तरह काम करता है और कोई शब्द घाव बन जाता है।
Sabd samharai boliye,sabd ke hath na paw
Ek sabd ausadh karai,ek sabd karai ghaw.
Speak words cautiously, word has neither hand nor feet
One word becomes medicine while other causes injury.
शीतल शब्द उचारिये, अहंन आनिये नाहि
तेरा प्रीतम तुझहि मे, दुशमन भी तुझ माहि।
सर्वदा शीतल मधुर लाभदायी बोलें-कभी अपने अंदर घमंड और अहंकार नहीं आने दें।
आपका प्रेमी प्रभु आपके हृदय में हैं और आपका शत्रु भी आपके भीतर ही बैठा है।
Sital sabd uchariye,ahan aaniye nahi
Tera pritam tujhahi me,dushman bhi tujh mahi.
Always speak sweet,never let the pride come in way
Your beloved is within you and your enemy is also in you.
शब्द हमारा हम शब्द के, शब्द ब्रहम् का कूप
जो जाहै दीदार को परख शब्द का रुप।
हम शब्द की पूजा करते हैं और शब्द हमारा पूज्य है।
जो ईश्वर का साक्षातकार चाहता हो उसे शब्द के मूल स्वरुप की परख होनी चाहिये।
Sabd hamara ham sabd ke,sabd Brahm ka koop
Jo chahai deedar ko parakh sabd ka roop.
The word is mine I am for the words,word is the source of God
One who wishes to view the God mst examine the form of words.
शब्द शब्द बहु अंतरा, सार शब्द चित देह
जा शब्दै साहिब मिलै, सोई शब्द गहि लेह।
शब्द-शब्द में बहुत अंतर है। जो मूल सत्य के शब्द हैं उन्हें अपने हृदय-चिन्तन में रखो।
जिस शब्द से प्रभु का दर्शन हो तुम उसी शब्द को पकड़े रहो तुम्हारा बेरा पार होगा।
Sabd sabd bahu antara,sar sabd chit deh
Ja sabdai sahib milay,soi sabd gahi leh.
Words differ in their import, what comes of a word is what is in your heart
Take only those words which lead to God.
रैन समानी भानु मे, भानु अकासे माहि
अकाश समाना शब्द मे, शब्द परै कछु नाहि।
सूर्य के प्रगट होने पर रात समाहित हो जाता है। सूर्य भी आकाश में समाहित है।
आकाश शब्द में समाहित है और शब्द के परे कुछ भी नहीं है। शब्द ही ब्रम्ह है।
Rain samani bhanu me,bhanu aakase mahi
Aakash samana sabd me,sabd parai kachhu nahi.
The night is gone with the rising of sun,the sun is inside the sky
The sky is also within the words,there is nothing outside the words.
